Changing Places toilet at the bus station

This Changing Places toilet was listed on the Changing Places website, so I was surprised to find it here! It was a large toilet that needed a RADAR to enter. It had a height-adjustable bench with toilet facilities, a ceiling hoist, a height-adjustable toilet and a height-adjustable sink. Additional features in there were a baby-change table, a privacy screen, a large mirror, a colostomy shelf and two emergency red cords.

Large bus station with good accessibility features

This bus station had two areas, one for local bus services and the other for National Express services. The gates were clearly labelled with large numbers and they had digital information boards with details about the buses that stop at each gate. There was a waiting area for the two areas which had seating, the seats had backs and armrests between each seat. There were multiple entrances to the bus station and it was also connected to a large multi-storey car park. There was a tactile pathway throughout the whole building and it also had accessible toilets and a Changing Places toilet. I didn't experience what the boarding process was like for boarding any of the buses or coaches on this visit.
