Lovely club site with country park and steam railway on the doorstep

Overall Rating
Good
We spent two nights here in our motorhome whilst attending a steam gala event on the adjacent railway. The site was very peaceful, with an occasional steam train being the only sound to break the silence. It was beautiful and we would definitely return again.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
The site is completely flat and the facilities block has level access. Even the dog run is on the same level as the rest of the site, though it is grass, so could be tricky for some chairs. The dog poo bin is easy to access though from outside the dog run.
Parking & Transport
Good
The site was easy to find, especially with a satnav but the road into the site is mostly cobbled, which doesn't make for a comfy ride. Once at the site, there is a space to pull in and reception is wheelchair accessible.
Accessible Toilets
Good
The accessible toilet and shower were clean, warm and perfectly adequate. The water temperature and pressure were good. There is a plastic seat but the room isn't as big as they usually are. The shower area has a non-slip floor but the rest of the room has slippery tiles, so be careful when you come out of the shower. Grab rails were in all the right places.
Staff
Excellent
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Additional Information
Whilst the site itself is easy to access by wheelchair, the country park has some cobbled areas and the ramp up to the railway station is uneven in places, though not too steep.
