Venue DescriptionCamera Obscura and World of Illusions is an Aladdin’s cave filled with illusions, tricks, puzzles, hands-on experiences and unbelievable effects to experience and interact with. Will you manage to stay on your feet in the Vortex Tunnel? Can you shrink yourself like Alice in Wonderland in the amazing Ames Room? What is it like to pick a person up on your hand or see the city from inside a giant camera? See for yourself inside the Camera Obscura. You can also spy on the city through powerful telescopes and viewcams. Camera Obscura and World of Illusions is a great day out for all ages and is always a hit with families.
The attraction is over 6 floors, with the Camera Obscura on the top floor. There is no lift in our building, all access is via stairs. Mobility aids (walking stick/seats) are available and seats on every floor. We offer Sensory Backpacks, Ear Defenders, Free Carer entry.

Our toilets are situated on the first level so are not suitable for those that cannot use stairs.
All staff are trained in customer service, we speak a variety of languages and have first aiders on duty at all times.
