Cannon Hall is a stunning Georgian country house museum set in 70 acres of historic parkland and beautifully landscaped gardens. It is the perfect day out for all the family. Visitors will enjoy the sights and sounds of the past as they explore the Hall and its grounds, uncovering the stories of this unique place. Cannon Hall Museum is home to an astounding mix of paintings, metalwork, ceramics, modern glassware and furniture collections displayed in exhibition galleries throughout the Halls’ historic rooms. Cannon Hall Park and Gardens is an idyllic place for a relaxing walk, family outing or picnic. The Park is an ideal place to explore with children, with acres of grassland that are perfect for games. There is a shop in the Hall selling a range of items There are two cafes onsite, the Pavilion cafe in the main car park and the Pear Tree Pantry in the Walled Gardens

Day out to museum and cafe

Very good accessibility inside the museum with a lift available to upper floor. Disabled toilet with changing bed and blue badge parking is free.

There is a visual story, 360 tour and Visit England Accessibility guide for Cannon Hall We have level access to the ground floor and a lift to floors 1 and 2 - there is currently no lift to the lower ground floor (Victorian Kitchens) We have audio described versions of some of our collection items and objects We have a multi sensory map for the Country Park There is seating available throughout the Hall There is a portable hearing loop available to borrow from reception We have wheelchair accessible picnic benches around the Country Park

Accessible parking can be found next to the Hall for visitors to the museum and in our main car park for visitors to the Country Park.

We have a Space to Change toilet in the Hall and Pavilion cafe toilets - this includes a hoist, accessible toilet and changing table however the dimensions are not quite big enough for it to be a verified Changing Places.

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
