    About

Celtic Park Stadium is an iconic sports and events destination located in the Parkhead area of Glasgow. As one of the largest football stadiums in Europe, it serves as the historic home of Celtic Football Club, offering a vibrant atmosphere for matchdays and beyond. Visitors can explore the heritage of the club through guided stadium tours that visit the boardroom, home team dressing room, and the tunnel leading to the pitch side. The onsite Number 7 Restaurant provides a seasonal menu with views overlooking the pitch, while the Celtic Superstore offers a variety of merchandise.

    Accessibility Highlights

The stadium features twenty-three accessible toilets, including a dedicated Changing Places toilet located in the North Stand. This facility is larger than standard toilets and includes a height-adjustable changing bench and a hoist. For matchdays and tours, there are five accessible entrances providing level access or lifts to seating areas, including elevated viewing platforms for wheelchair users. The Celtic Superstore and ticket office both feature automatic doors, low-level service counters, and induction loops. Blue Badge parking is available but must be arranged in advance through the Celtic Disabled Supporters Association, while Dalmarnock Station is the nearest accessible transport link with step-free access.

    An inclusive stadium

I had the pleasure of being guided around the stadium by Celtic Disability Access Officer Alexis Dobbin, who is clearly committed to making the stadium as welcoming as possible for all fans and visitors. Despite the age of the stadium, a lot of effort has gone into improving access. It’s not perfect, but find me a place that is. No matter who you support, Celtic Park do their best to support you.

    Changing Places at Celtic Park

I was given an accessibility tour of the park by Celtic Disability Access Officer Alexis Dobbin who is clearly passionate about making the park accessible to as many people as possible. Celtic have the honour of being the first football stadium in Scotland to have a Changing Places toilet. Regardless of the team you support this is a win for everyone. I will write about the stadium in more detail in a separate review.

Fantastic place to visit whether for a football game or a meal Disability Toilets that have shower shower trolly with added hoist, easy access to toilets there are on all levels, special access to buy food at the game, useful for wheelchair as well as walking aids, always very clean ( I attend every second week ) access also for blind users who can wear headphones to hear full commentary of the live game, very impressed with facilities.
