Chop House

one of our party described it as having "no sensible seats" - some seats very high and some up a step in the window into a bench type table so impossible to access for many people - toilets downstairs - steaks were nice hence 1/2 point but who cares how nice they are if you can't access them

We tried to call the restaurant several times to enquire about accessibility and failed to get through so booked a table on-line for a birthday lunch with a request for someone to call us back to confirm whether a wheelchair-user could be one of the party. No-one called us back. After several attempts, we finally spoke to someone the day before the birthday. He confirmed that all tables on the ground floor have high stools so the restaurant is not suitable AT ALL for someone in a wheelchair. Person on the phone didn't seem to care that we had to cancel the booking. It should be made clear on the website that wheelchair users are not welcomed in this restaurant.

Confused as the food was 5 star but my experience was not. I use crutches or a wheelchair and was so glad I was using my crutches. On arrival the Table was not ready and we were told to take a seat at the bar - high stools not too suitable for the disabled. Table was ready and was down a flight of stairs.Once down (thankfully there we folk in our group to assist) I enquired as to the location of the disabled toilet and you’ve guessed it, it was up the stairs! Or I could use a normal cubicle. Great meal, service and experience for the able bodied not so much for the disabled making me really confused.
