Carvosso Mill is one of three luxury pet-friendly properties at Cosawes Barton, all recently renovated from original estate buildings. Cosawes Barton is a beautiful 17 acre estate set in Cornish woodlands and fields which guests are welcome to explore, and the estate can also offer an exclusive setting for small bespoke weddings and family celebrations. The Mill is a 5* Gold award-winning self catering properly with stunning original features and level access throughout. The beautiful octagonal open-plan living/dining area is light and spacious, with double height ceiling, leather sofas and cosy wood-burner. There is a luxury handmade kitchen, and large dining table with seating for 6. The living area opens onto a private enclosed garden, with further access to 17 acres of private grounds. Carvosso Mill is all on one level with easy access to front and back. It has 3 luxurious bedrooms, one with a large en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. There is also a luxury wet-room with step-free shower and washbasin.

Spot on for access!

We got married here in January 2019 and it really is a little gem tucked away in a small piece of paradise. We had the Mill as our Base and the other properties for our guests. We especially chose the venue and the Mill because of its fabulous disabled access for our daughter who was wheelchair dependant and there is parking right outside the door. We even had our wedding reception in the Mill which is all on one level and so spacious including the magnificent walk in shower, you even have your own private garden area which is just as beautiful as the main garden and grounds. We had the most amazing wedding day and weekend, nothing was too much trouble for the owners and staff and we are looking forward to going back for our next anniversary.

All rooms are accessible for a wheelchair and the lounge / dining area is particularly spacious

We have commented on the suitability of the above holiday accommodation having booked it for 2 weeks in September 2017. We have looked at it from the perspective of having a profoundly disabled son who is totally wheelchair dependent and requires full assistance with all daily living activities. We feel that for those wheelchair users with limited mobility or those that require some assistance with transferring from wheelchair to bed then the accommodation is more than adequate. For those who are less able and require more assistance Cosawes Barton is suitable and has the space to accommodate lifting / transferring equipment.

Disabled Access at Cosawes Barton

Visitors can park immediately outside the Mill. Access to the front door is flat and via a paved very gentle ramp. Doorway sills are flat. The entrance door is double width and the doorways and corridors are extra wide. Garden access is via a set of double width French doors onto a flat patio.
