Excellent
Craven Museum is a museum that tells you all about the history of Skipton, like Skipton Mill and the history of Craven. It also has Roman artefacts, a Tour De Yorkshire display and caving equipment. They also have an art gallery in which topics change every 3 months. It's a small museum, really accessible and very welcoming, it's incredibly engaging, informative and very interesting to look around at everything, we all had a great time.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
The main entrance is not accessible; however, you can go down the right side and there is a slope that leads to an automatic door right next to the crossing. Every part of the museum is completely accessible, there is a lift with accessible buttons to get to the 1st floor which leads to the art gallery and there is enough space everywhere for wheelchairs. There is seating located within the museum right next to the stairs after passing reception, there is also portable chairs as well. For sensory needs, they have sensory bags by the reception, they include a pair of ear defenders, a few fidget toys and 1 or 2 worry dolls. They also have a large print guide for the whole museum.

In the town hall car park behind the museum, there is accessible parking.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
There is an accessible toilet, very clean, tidy and modern, it's big enough to manoeuvre, it does have grab rails and very easy to find. There is also a Changing Places toilet.
Staff
Excellent
The staff are really helpful and accommodating, they’ve let us had our snack inside, filled up our water bottles and let people use the toilets even if they’re not visiting. It’s the best place we’ve ever visited in terms of accessibility!
