About

The de Havilland Aircraft Museum’s mission is to preserve and communicate the de Havilland Heritage to ensure that current and future generations of all ages will understand de Havilland’s contribution to innovative British Aviation technology. The de Havilland Aircraft Museum’s volunteers are dedicated to restore de Havilland aircraft and artefacts. The New Hangar will provide additional facilities that will enable more of our aircraft to be under cover and ensure that the restoration process can continue in all weathers as well as providing our visitors with the opportunity to enjoy practical and informative learning opportunities

Air Museum

Interesting museum Plenty of volunteers who were helpful. Platform lift into hanger. ‘Walk through’ Comet unsuitable unless able to climb stairs. Small cafe selling beverages and packed snacks

Interesting museum for aircraft enthusiasts, with pretty good wheelchair access

We visited this aircraft museum, whilst on holiday in the area. It was a pleasant day out and I enjoyed learning about the history of some of our iconic aircraft, such as the Mosquito and the Gipsy Moth. Access around the museum and grounds was mostly good, though there are some things they could improve.
