Overview

The venue has great access, accessible toilet facilities and plenty of disabled parking bays. The staff were extremely helpful throughout my visit.

Transport & Parking

Parking for the venue is superb. There are 8 disabled parking bays directly in front of the front door and there is also an area for drop offs. It is only a couple of minutes drive from the M8, so really easy to get to.

Access

The access in general was great. Level access from the car park and throughout the venue is a real benefit. There is a slight incline when entering the front door, but the automatic door prevents that from being an issue (which it would be if it was manual doors). The signage on arriving at the campus could be better to direct you to the sports centre, but other than that it was perfect.

Toilets

There is an accessible loo which has everything you would look for in an accessible loo for an independent person. It might be a little tight for anyone requiring caters, but it worked perfectly for me. Signage was clear and the staff actually highlighted where the loo was on my arrival! I was very impressed by that.

Staff

I was impressed by the venue itself, but the attitude of the staff was incredible. The minute I arrived they highlighted the accessible toilet and assisted with my sports wheelchair. They also have me some tips on where to get food locally and the best way to get their in a wheelchair. They really went above and beyond!

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. There were no lunch facilities available, but there is a Subway a couple of hundred yards away, which was perfect for me.
