Falls of Lora Hotel

I turned up unannounced about midday in my wheelchair in the heavy rain. No sign as to how to get entrance in a wheelchair. I phoned up and asked about wheelchair access, you would have thought I was an alien. The concept of a wheelchair user turning up seemed bizarre to them. They then said that the bar didn't open until 1230 and did I have a reservation? Meanwhile another member of staff spotted me, found and deployed the wooden ramp, but it wasn't quite as tall as the step and with my wet tyres I was unable to ascend. I would have liked to wait in the warm dry reception, but given the weird unwelcome response, I gave up and went elsewhere.

Loved the location, recently renovated Victorian Hotel with magnificent views across Loch Etive. Good Food at reasonable prices, and friendly attentive staff. Overall poor signage to car parking, accessible access and lack of an accessible toilet let it down.
