A good trail through the woods New

Overview
Another trail based in a Forestry Scotland plantation. This one shows something of what's possible. The "Ant Hill Trail" is just over 2 miles long and waymarked with the usual painted posts. What sets it apart from most "accessible" forestry trails of any length is that for the most part, it follows a custom-made track about a metre wide and made from firm gravel. There are several steep slopes, which would make it impossible for a manual wheelchair or pavement scooter. Althouth there are no problematic stiles, steps, narrow bridges or kissing gates, you will need an aggressive off-road/all-terrain scooter or powerchair to manage it. The waymarked trail remains deep within the forested area, but does cross forestry roads at a couple of points, so the more adventurous can go zooming off - at their own risk - to explore the wider plantation. This makes it somewhere I'd happily return to and get to know better.
