Overview

Excellent cafe run with disabled staff who are lovely to deal with. The food is extremely good and above is the Keswick Art Gallery & Museum. The park includes a garden with tennis courts and bowling on the one side (currently still closed due to storm damage). The cafe side is fully open although one small path has some water erosion. The cricket green is being reseeded and the surprise is how much of the river can now be seen after the storm uprooted so many of the trees (still fabulous).

Transport & Parking

No parking at the park but there are several car parks close by and some on road parking. The main public car park has a toilet but it is quite old and cold. Better going to one of the accessible hotels or Booth's supermarket.

Some slopes as well as some level access points, but nothing major to worry about.

Mostly out of site or busy working on the gardens, in the cafe or gallery.

We visit this park many times during our twice yearly holidays. This year we came into the park from the back road and although this had a gate to negotiate is was no problem. For someone on their own, closing it would take some manoeuvring but there is always someone going to and fro. The views are wonderful and the park is relaxing and has a lovely old world charm.
