A warm welcome awaits you at Portland House, a spacious and comfortable guest house offering quality bed and breakfast accommodation in Keswick. Conveniently situated in a quiet area close to the town centre with its wide variety of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and just a short stroll from Derwentwater and Keswick’s highly acclaimed Theatre by the Lake, this large Victorian town house which was built in the 1880s from traditional Lakeland stone is the perfect base for exploring the Lake District National Park. We have six guest bedrooms located over three floors, with one on the ground floor being suitable for guests with limited mobility. All rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished with en-suite shower rooms, luxury Bath House toiletries, hospitality tray including home-made shortbread, TV, free Wi-Fi and many other features that will confirm our attention to detail in order to provide everything to make your stay with us extra special. For the comfort and safety of all our guests Portland House operates a strict non-smoking policy.
