Galashiels Railway Station

Galashiels Railway Station is a small, single track station located just across the road from the Galashiels Interchange. The simplicity of the station makes it easy to navigate as you'll never find yourself on the wrong platform. Despite it's small size, access has been given thorough consideration and with a Changing Places toilet and accessible toilet just across the street it's not a bad offering at all.

Galashiels station has regular direct trains to Edinburgh Waverley Station in one direction and in the opposite direction it is one more stop to Tweedbank which is the end of the line. This is a small, step free station served by one platform, so trains depart from it go in both directions, so check it is the train you want to board. Immediately across the road is the Galashiels Transport Interchange, which offers a bus station, accessible and a Changing Places toilet plus a cafe and information desk. The train station is in the town centre.

The railway station is fairly new as part of the Borders railway and is served by regular trains from Edinburgh at one end of the line and Tweedbank at the other. As stations go, Galashiels is pretty good as the platform is adjacent to the Interchange. A transport hub where you can switch from buses to trains and vice versa.
