This GeniePoint EV charger is located on the grounds of Premier Inn Aberdeen Central. It provides 50 kW, 50 kW and 22 kW Type 2 charging options and some challenges around access.

Disabled Access In and Around

Poor

The charging bays are no wider than a standard parking space and could present a challenge if someone parks beside you. The placement also presents a problem if you need to remove a mobility device from the boot or if your charging port is to the rear of your vehicle. The card reader was within reach from my wheelchair although I'm unsure you would get to it when using a wheelchair as your own car may not give you enough clearance. One surprising aspect of this unit is that the cables are very low on the machine - the lowest I've seen, which makes them easier to reach from a wheelchair but potentially harder for those using walking aids or who cannot bend or squat..

Located on the grounds of the Premier Inn, there are a number of standard and accessible parking spaces as well as two EV bays. The charge point is just over half a mile from the train station and a similar distance from the bus station.
