Disabled Access at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse

Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse is a large site and visitors who find walking tiring might consider bringing a back-up chair, stick or walking frame if they have them. All buildings and displays have level access except for the School Room. There is a ramped entrance to the café and its courtyard garden. There is a lift to the second floor of the workhouse building. There are chairs in the museum buildings and benches throughout the grounds. Outdoors you will also find ‘Resting Places’ to lean on for a break. There is a rough track to the farm. Gressenhall has 6 manual wheelchairs. We also have an all terrain mobility scooter called a ‘Tramper’ available to borrow to aid access to the farm. We recommend that you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
