Lovely staff
I moved to this hotel at 10pm as my previous hotel was not accessible. This is the one by Trenrham Lakes. It's in a business park so not picturesque. There was a harvester next door but I did not use it.
This hotel had no available accessible rooms left but had a ground floor room by reception.
I took this as an emergency. The room was not big enough to move a wheelchair round the bed but Im ambulant if I can hold on to something.
The staff were five star and made me feel so cared for after a bad fall at the other hotel. They gave me complimentary drinks, late checkout and told me to just ask if I couldnt reach or needed help, they were just a few metres away.
The downside was this proximity was noisier in the morning but I had to get up for work anyway.
They helped me at breakfast and chatted to me. They gave me the human element and were so friendly and caring. The staff are an asset to the hotel.
The shower was a step up of about 18" and walk in shower. There was a hand rail in the shower.
The toilet was not big enough for a wheel chair but this was not an accessible room.
The rest of the facilities were superb and the staff great so I wanted to review as I think it is worth making an enquiry for an accessible room.
