Disappointing
The restaurant wasn't as big as we thought it would be. We visited for my husband's birthday with our daughter and her boyfriend. We read the reviews and noted a few repeated negative comments, but we always like to make up our own minds. We should have listened to the reviews. There were repeated comments about the food being lukewarm, and it was. The only two things I had that were hot was the onion pakora and the naan bread. I am vegetarian and I managed to find a good plateful of different foods - margherita and vegetable pizzas, garlic bread, potato pops, naan bread, but to be honest everything was bland but I then tried the potato and chickpea curry and it was tasty. They have a large selection of desserts. The cheesecake was tasteless and had a strange rubbery consistency and the base was just loose crumbs, the carrot cake was nice but my husband says the other two gateaux were tasteless. My husband says the flavoured ice creams were nice. He had mint choc chip, banana, bubblegum and strawberry. The adult price at weekends is £25.99, but they also added £3 per person service charge. The restaurant is BYOB but I didn't see this on the website, I only knew because I read it in a review. The staff were really good and very nice. They were clearing plates and cleaning tables constantly. The tables are small and close together. The buffet seemed to run a one way system but I couldn't get back to my table from the far end, it was too narrow for my wheelchair so it was tricky trying to get past people and back to my table. The accessible toilet was ok, nice and clean, but there's no bar on the back of the door so I could pull it closed. There wasn't much room to manoeuvre my wheelchair and the drier is on the opposite wall from the sink. We decided this restaurant isn't for us and I wouldn't recommend it.
