House of Fraser

Probably the last store of its kind in Scotland even though it’s not independent. All the Fraser stores carry pretty much the same stock, but this is the flagship store in Scotland, the customer service still has a bygone era feel to it especially among the older, experienced staff. There are more entrance and exit doors than most other Department Stores of which 4 double sets are power assisted and once in the Store, ample ramps and lifts throughout. As said earlier, being the flagship, we can only get particular products that we like here, one Edinburgh Store has closed followed by what used be Jenner’s in Edinburgh at a later date. The Hermes boutique shop offers a range of unique Hermes products and to accompany it, the service to match. The staff cannot do enough to assist with a patience to match. They also have the awareness and the observation to recognise and be alert to offer support.
