IWM London - IWM’s flagship branch - tells the stories of those whose lives have been shaped by war through the depth, breadth and impact of our Galleries, displays and events. Explore what life was like at home during the Second World War in A Family in Wartime; delve into the world of espionage in Secret War; visit our award-winning Holocaust Exhibition; discover stories of bravery in The Lord Ashcroft Gallery: Extraordinary Heroes; see work by some of Britain’s most significant 20th Century artists in our art galleries or take in our latest special exhibition.

Accessibility

Step-free access to the museum via the West Entrance. If you're looking at the front of the building, the West entrance is located on the right hand side of the building, just past the café entrance. Free wheelchairs for loan, subject to availability Booking in advance is recommended, contact us or call 020 7416 5000 There is fixed seating across the museum. All lifts are wheelchair accessible and most have braille signage.

Accessible Performances

Live audio described tour of our First World War Galleries for visually impaired and blind people (carers welcome). Tour is approximately 40 minutes long, available seven days a week during museum opening hours. Subject to staff availability. To book in advance call 020 7091 3157 or email contact@iwm.org.uk. If you need information on the day ask at the Information Desk on level 0
