We specialise in offering respite breaks for people with long term conditions (including multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease, Huntington’s, cerebral palsy, and the effects of stroke and spinal injuries), with tailored care, fun activities and outings, and home-made food in a beautiful country house. Couldn't be better

I am carer for my wife, who has secondary progressive MS. She has just spent a week at Leuchie House (her third visit). She has been well cared for, with 24 / 7 nursing care, trip out for a pub lunch and a visit to an art gallery, plus great food in-house. She has enjoyed entertainment in the evenings, too. She has thoroughly enjoyed her time there, giving me peace of mind that she is safe and secure.

Wonderful Holiday

This was my 14th annual visit and it didn't disappoint. Some of the long term staff have moved on but as always everyone was well trained, attentive and friendly. The entertainment was excellent and varied. New cooks provided a really diverse and bountiful meals. I made some good friends who've agreed to meet up again next year. For my two outings I chose a microlight flight and the lighthouse trail in North Berwick.

Leuchie House Review

My time at Leuchie House was most enjoyable because of the other participants who also attended when I was there. My favourite activity at the house was the walk with the Ranger, Cameron. I also enjoyed writing poems while there. All the staff were as helpful and attentive as they could have been and made me most welcome. Alice took me to St James quarter, we had a lot of fun and had a proper laugh. Keri took me to the Royal Yacht Britannia, I enjoyed seeing the pictures of and reading about the Queen. The highlight of the holiday was the dinner party on the last night, we all dressed up and had a lovely meal too.

Disabled Access at Leuchie House

Leuchie House is fully accessible for disabled visitors. The main entrance is located directly off the car park, is step free and has automatic doors. The entrance leads in to the ground floor reception area which offers plenty of space for wheelchairs and has seating available for vistors.

The car park is located directly in front of the building and the main entrance, with direct access to the main entrance and reception area.

Toilets features at Leuchie House

All guest bathrooms, shower rooms and toilets are fully accessible and have grab rails. Bathrooms have non-slip floors. There are overhead tracking hoists in the downstairs and first floor bathrooms. Mobile hoists are available for all other bathrooms. There is a SAM turner and a stand aid on each floor.

Accessible toilet

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
