I was very surprised how little disability awareness and help there was on the buses. They made no concessions to my limited mobility and balance. Edinburgh buses, lower the entrance to help you on, then wait until you are seated before moving off. I have seen drivers telling passengers to wait till the bus stops before they stand up to get off. I have been offered help to get off the bus from the driver because the bus wasn't level with the pavement. None of that happened on London buses, it felt it was a free for all. I haven't been back as its not safe
