Macrobert Arts Centre is central Scotland’s leading multi-arts centre, delivering an extensive and high-quality artistic programme of theatre, dance, music, visual arts and film. Founded in 1971, the Company is widely recognised as a dynamic force in the Scottish arts sector, creating a wide range of professional, community, educational and bespoke development projects. Great accessibility for disabled people.

The macrobert arts centre is very accessible to people with disabilities. All the spaces are wheelchair accessible. Even backstage and getting on to the stage is accessible. You can go on the stage via a locked door which goes through to backstage, you can go through the prompt side door to get on stage or you can go on stage via a stage door beside the auditorium. The macrobert has relaxed screenings for people with hypersensitivity and autism. They also have an 18+ drama group for people with disabilities and additional support needs.

Smashing venue

This is a great venue for disabled people. Theres parking right at the door(only 3) self opening doors lead into a bright foyer, manned by friendly staff. There are two disabled toilets in the building, possibly more. The cinema is small but has space at the back for chair users and companions. Up a ramp and into the main theatre where there is a full row of diasabled Seating, again theres chairs for companions. The restaurant is fully accessble by chair. All in all I would say a first class venue for all types of disability ( I use a stick). And very well priced too. A must in the Stirling area. Give it a visit, even just for a quick coffee. P.S. They have euansguide labels on the toilet pullcords.
