Maryland Railway Station

Maryland Station is an Elizabeth line station with trains to Shenfield, Heathrow Airport, Paddington, and all the stops between. The station was previously part of the Great Eastern Railway line and has seen a number of National Rail services using the station over the years. It is now part of the Elizabeth line, and these are now the only trains that stop here, with some other services travelling through the station without stopping. There are stairs and a small lift available at the main entrance where staff are always available. There are two separate lifts down to the two Elizabeth line platforms as well as flights of stairs. For those needing step-free boarding onto the train, the station staff can assist and provide ramp access on and off the train. The station always seems relatively clean however, I have encountered a number of reliability issues while travelling via this station. The lift at the main entrance seems to break more frequently than you would expect. I have started to always double check access information on the TfL website before leaving my home due to this. Another problem that I have encountered more than once is not being met with a ramp to exit the train. On two separate occasions I have been left stranded by the station staff. In one instance, no one came to meet me with a ramp and the train departed the station while I was still stuck on the train. While in another instance, I had to crawl off the train myself while others lifted my chair off of the train for me. This has left me incredibly anxious about disembarking a train at this station. Recently I have always had good service when I am boarding trains here but I am yet to try disembarking again.
