National Museum of Archaeology

Whilst walking through Republic Street in Valletta. We saw the sign for the Museum of Archaeology. We found the displays of various artifacts very interesting indeed. The information boards about each were very descriptive. We were surprised at what a history Malta has, with information going back to 5000bc. The glass walk overs were really well done and interesting. During our visit we overheard a few talks going on explaining the displays and, in hindsight, wish we had tagged on rather than doing our own thing. This is an ideal place to visit if you are in Valletta as you can learn so much about early settlers in Malta. A place I would certainly consider visiting if we are back to the island.
