Travel from the open plains of the African savannah to the tranquil gardens of Japan and South America’s tropical forests in just one day! Meet free-flying birds in the Gems of the Jungle aviary, encounter endangered and unusual creatures in the Wildlife at Night exhibition and investigate reptiles and amphibians in the Tropical House. And don’t forget to visit the Village Farm and give the pygmy goats a scratch! Throughout the day, you’ll also be able to learn more about Newquay’s animals, and even see them in action, with a range of talks, activities and feeding times. There are also a variety of outdoor play areas where little ones can let off steam, as well as our Tarzan Trail assault course where even grown ups can join in the fun! Plus, check out the beautiful grounds, from the elegant Oriental Garden to the Secret Garden, hidden in the heart of the zoo. To refuel your adventure Newquay Zoo offers a wide selection of fresh, local and ethically-sourced food. Enjoy a spot of lunch at Café Lemur, which serves a delicious range of food from pizzas and burgers to salads and mezze boxes. Or grab food on the go from one of the takeaway kiosks located at convenient locations around the zoo.

    A day at Newquay Zoo

A really lovely zoo, with great staff who clearly love their jobs, the animals and the visitors. Staff doing the animal talks are really good at interacting and keep things interesting and fun as well as being informative. We enjoyed a lovely day and had a great lunch in the café. Four of us all ordered different meals and they all arrived together, hot and delicious. It was so good that we went back for a cream tea in the afternoon! The new Changing Places toilet was clean and well designed. This facility is what enabled us to stay for the whole day as one member of our group needs a ceiling hoist in order to access the toilet. The Fishing Cat area has recently been made accessible for wheelchair users and we had a great time spotting it. We are looking forward to returning soon and purchased annual passes.
