Novotel London Bridge - one to avoid.

I have experience of challenges around: accessing toilets, moving around and speaking or communicating.

No pics I'm afraid (sorry). No. No. No. They say they're accessible. But: If you need to transfer in the toilet, there is no room. If you wish to have a shower - it's not roll-in at all (the shower has a raised porcelain base). If you can go without a shower, and just wash at the sink (as I had to do for 3 days), then you'll have to do it side-on. There is no room to turn at all (luckily, the armrests of my wheelchair can be raised, and the sideguards removed, so I was able to turn SLIGHTLY). I'm guessing that the accessible bathroom pictured on the Novotel website (which DOES have room to transfer), is one of their Executive/Premium rooms. The standard accessible bathrooms are long and narrow though. No room to swing a cat, nevermind turn a wheelchair around in. If you have already booked your room here, there is a slightly larger accessible public toilet not far from the "accessible" rooms, which is easier to use (there is space to turn around in it - still a bit tight though). If you haven't booked yet. Then don't. Head to the 3-star Holiday Inn Express London Southwark just along the road instead (where the accesible rooms/accessible toilets are fantastic).
