    A second Changing Places toilet in the heart of Perth? Yes please. On my trip around Perth, it was great to discover a Changing Places toilet at both Perth Museum and the Perth & Kinross Council Offices - that's two options with 640 metres of each others. Of the two, this is definitely my favourite.;

    There are automatic doors at the entrance to the museum, and clear signage throughout. It was easy to find the Changing Places toilet as they are at the end of the corridor as you enter. I'l review the museum individually but overall access is to a good standard.

    Accessible facilities: Lift to all areas, Step-free entrance, Seating at regular intervals

    I travelled to this place by walk or wheel

    Parking options in the immediate area aren’t great, as this is largely a pedestrian region of the city. The nearest bus stop is on Tay Place, around 640 metres away, and is located near the City Council building, which has its own Changing Places toilet. The 11, 11S, 16, 16B and 51 services operate here.

    Excellent

    The door to the Changing Places toilet requires a RADAR key, which can be obtained from a member of staff if you don’t have one or have left it at home. The door opens outwards but does not have a touch pad for automatic opening. Inside, the toilet is exceptionally spacious, with more than enough room to manoeuvre a wheelchair or powerchair. The toilet has a changing bed, a ceiling track hoist, a shower, an adjustable sink and tiled flooring. The sink has a large mirror, a long-handled lever-style tap and rails on either side. The rails are silver and set against grey tiles. The toilet has a dark grey seat with rails on either side. The red cord hangs to the left when seated and is free of obstruction, as are the transfer spaces on either side. A colostomy shelf is installed in the right-side transfer space. Overall, I'm impressed by these facilities and would reccomend them if your require a Changing Places toilet while in Perth!

    The staff were very helpful, quick to offer my entry when they saw me close to the door to the Changing Places toilet.
