Lovely place for a spot of lunch

Willows has recently been refurbished and made more wheelchair friendly. The owners have made wee changes that make getting in and around easier. The main entrance has steps but there's a level access side entry. Although not electric (hence the 1/2 star off) the new doors now have magnets to hold them open until you get it. If you're able to get out of your chair there's a buggy/wheelchair parking area, if not there's a few tables near the disabled toilet that have extra space to accommodate wheelchairs. The staff are lovely and there's usually a maitre dit around. Any time I've visited they've spotted me before I've even got to the doors so have them open. The new menu has lots of allergy free options too.

'one of the best coffee shops'

I had a chat with the Owner who was friendly and welcoming and spoke to me about wanting to make the venue more accessible. At present, entry if you are in a wheelchair is at the side rather than the front due to a few steps. Once inside everything I needed was on one level. It could possibly be improved by adding a bell to the entrance for assistance, either that or an automatic door. Inside it can get very busy and the only thing I would say is that when it is busy it is difficult to get to the accessible toilet easily. Maybe the tables could be spaced out a little more to gain easier access. The food is lovely.

Fabulous food and pretty good facilities!

This is a lovely cafe in Perth town centre. It has a side entrance for wheelchairs which is good and has ground level and spacious disabled toilet/baby changing room. It has fabulous food, great menu with lots of gluten free options too! There is space at the front door to leave a chair or buggy if this is an option. It didn't get a 5 star because there are 2 doors to manoeuvre to the toilet and the seating area is a bit 'squishy' - typically overcrowded cafe floor with tables and chairs. The staff are very friendly and while we were there a man in a wheelchair accessed the toilet and the staff member went ahead to clear the way and have us scooch our chairs in. It was all a smooth and efficient process although not ideal, hence they dropped a star. We were there at peak time on a Saturday lunchtime so maybe a quieter time of the week is easier :-)
