Perth Bus Station is a short walk from the city centre and 160 metres from Perth Railway Station, making onward connections easier. I visited Perth Bus Station during my adventures around the city to review the access at this transport hub, and found it pretty lacking. Whilst the buses are accessible and its small size makes it easy to navigate, there is no accessible toilet and a step leading into the waiting room. You can take the long way around to enter from the bus stands, but it would be nice not to have to do this.

Perth Bus Station is quite small and you need to go round to the back of the building to access the buses. It isn’t very well signposted, which makes it a bit confusing. Getting into the station itself was a bit of a faff as I struggled to find a dropped kerb. There are plenty of blue benches outside serving the ten bus stands, and more in the small waiting area. I couldn’t get into the waiting room myself as the manual door was too heavy, and the alternative entrance on the main road has a step. Each bus stand has a kerb, and most buses have a ramp that can be lowered to give access if needed. At the stands, the ground is level and easy to move across, but there is no tactile paving. At stand eight there’s a departure screen on the wall, and bins are dotted along the way. I saw no signage to indicate the presence of a hearing loop, and did not see the use of braille or other alternative formats. I wouldn’t rate Perth Bus Station highly, though if you’re just here to catch a bus it does the job.

There is no dedicated parking at this location, but I noted 16 standard spaces to the rear of the station on Pomarium Street, which curves around the station and also has a taxi rank, although I didn’t see any accessible taxis. There are also two standard accessible parking spaces in the station, marked as "reserved", which might be useful for a quick drop off. The closest train station, Perth Railway Station, is 160 metres away.

There is an accessible toilet on site, but locals told me it hasn’t been operational for some time. The women’s toilet is in the waiting room, while the men’s toilet is further along, but neither can be accessed from a wheelchair.
