Phoenix Retreat is a 4 star 2 bedroom disabled holiday accommodation, suitable for wheelchair users, situated in the picturesque village of Braunton, North Devon, well serviced with shops, restaurants, pubs, pharmacy and GP. An excellent base for sightseeing in the beautiful South West of England. Carers available.

Accessibility

Suitable for guests with a wide range of disabilities including mobility, hearing and visual impairments, and the elderly. The overhead hoist will enable holiday makers to be hoisted from wheel chair to bed (maximum weight 130 Kg/20 stone). Children welcome, pets welcome by arrangement.

Toilets

Wet room comprises of: A level entry shower with attached shower head and lower detachable shower head. The temperature of shower and sink is thermostatically controlled and can only reach a maximum of 41c, a fixed shower chair and a commode shower chair with wheels, hand rail next to shower, the wet room has 1200mm unobstructed turning space. The taps are lever and there is clear under space for a wheelchair under the sink, with all pipe work insulated. The flooring is non slip and there is under floor heating to aid quick drying of the floor and gives warmth to the wet room.

Phoenix Retreat is owned and managed by Phoenix Care At Home Ltd; we are a small domiciliary care agency rated excellent through CQC (Care Quality Commission). We can provide a care service to guests staying on holiday in our bungalow. This would be charged for separately from the holiday accommodation. Please contact us to find out how this service works.
