Accessible Pony and trap
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair
My daughter had a wonderful morning out with Simon and his pony Obama. Simon has a trap to which her wheelchair was fixed and off they went. For the first time since she was a small child she was on the sand and even into the water and she absolutely loved it! This was arranged with PAMIS and St. Andrews tourist board but Simon can be contacted through the Website below https://ponyaxes.com/ also pony axe s on Facebook
Transport & Parking
There is plenty parking at the car park at the beach.
There are dropped kerbs from the car park to the beach. There is a short, concrete ramp onto the beach itself. Simon brought the pony and trap right up to the edge of the beach to attach the wheelchair so there was no sinking into the soft sand. But this was simply the chosen venue on that particular day
There is no accessible loo however, on the day of this event PAMIS brought along it's brand new Mobiloo
Anything else you wish to tell us?
For anyone who loves ponies but is unable to get on one, this was fab. The trap is an all terrain mechanism and if you check the 'pony axe s' site there are various locations where Simon has taken Obama to
