The rooms have a shortage of power sockets, and those present are located only on the wall by the TV, opposite the bed. My travelling companion is a medical oxygen user and uses a ventilator and portable oxygen machine at night whilst sleeping. This requires 2 power sockets or one power socket with a double adapter. As there were no power sockets at all by the bed we had to run an extension cable from the TV at waist height over the desk and across the floor for the full width of the room in order to use the medical equipment. This created a trip hazard for both of us, especially in the dark. My companion also has mobility issues and needs to be able to walk unimpeded by obstacles. I raised this matter with the staff and they said that there was nothing they could do about the design of the room but would take the positioning and quantity of power sockets into account when designing new hotels.
