Restwell Retreats

Restwell Retreats is a spacious, newly adapted wheelchair-accessible bungalow just a few minutes’ walk from Tankerton beach and around a 20-minute stroll from Whitstable town centre and harbour. This single-storey property is step-free throughout, with wide doorways, a light and airy open-plan living room and conservatory, and a fully equipped kitchen featuring a lowered, wheel-under work surface.

The accessible bedroom includes two profiling beds and a full-room-coverage ceiling hoist, with a mobile hoist and a Sara Stedy stand aid available for use throughout the bungalow. The accessible wet room has a step-free shower, fixed and drop-down grab rails, a shower/commode, tilt-in-space chairs, a Geberit AquaClean wash/dry WC, and a height-adjustable wheel-under washbasin.

Two bedrooms sleep up to 5 guests, and the bungalow can be tailored to each guest’s needs, with furniture, beds and equipment repositioned on request. Care and support can be arranged locally through Continuity Care Services, from companionship through to complex care and 24/7 support.

Guests are welcomed with a hamper, and there is an enclosed, level-access garden with patio and BBQ, a private driveway, and dog-friendly facilities.
