A Wedding at Queen's
I visited The Queens to attend a wedding
Now, i use a frame & i knew there were stairs to access reception & more stairs to then access all the ground floor areas. I was concerned on how I was going to manage this & also, where I was going to park as I knew parking would be limited.
I have to say - The Queens treated me...like a Queen!!
Disabled parking was reserved for me with a bollard to stop anyone else using it. O didn't have to go up the steps as they opened the gate to the garden for me to easily get in. The garden area was split into a paved area coming off the hotel side & a grass area, where the chairs & cherry trees were laid out for the ceremony.
Later in the evening, as mother nature called ( a vodka lemon & lime, glass of champagne & a tot of Saki responsible) i was faced with inside steps. Imagine my delight to discover a stairs lift, ready to take me up to the reception floor where the cloakroom were! A beautifully kept, spacious, disabled cloakroom was available. Allowing plenty of room for me to do the necessities and allow for my daughter to help!
From start to finish, access & assistance was at my disposal! The staff were absolutely lovely & ready to assist any need i might have.
I would recommend this hotel, not only for holidaying at but also as a place to book an event, especially where mobile access & assistance is required.
