Disabled Travellers hillside country park and a Ski resort visit
An interesting enough scenic park visit, taking in country views and a Ski resort in the heart of Gloucester, and combine these with a break at Robinswood hotel (REVIEW FOR YOU ) for coffee and you have an interesting few hours family break.
SET YOUR SAT NAV for GL4 6SX. ROBINSWOOD HILL COUNTRY PARK
In the outskirts (photo 1) and heart of Gloucester stands a nice little wooded hillside
Country park, with quite a pleasant drive through the streets of Gloucester, which we found to be clean and with well kept houses, as you climb up to the hillside park.
There are disabled bays for parking (photo 2) which offer pleasant views over the county and towards the Malvern hills way off in the distance (photo 3)
Close to your parking area stands the little cafe and toilet facilities (photo 4) with a good ramp available to get you into the cafe (photo 5) and next to this are a number of kids play areas, ideal to let off steam (photo 6).
SET YOUR SAT NAV for GL4 6EA. GLOUCESTER SKI AND SNOWBOARD CENTRE.
You have to drive around Gloucester streets to get from one side of hill away from the country park, to the opposite side to reach Ski resort, but Gloucester itself is really quite pleasant to drive through. Now bear in mind that this is a activity centre so disabled are not really a thing they can worry about, the purpose of this portion of our trip is to help your abled bodied family members, but allowing you to enjoy their visit with them. At least you can have a drink while watching their efforts to master a new found activity.
You enter the centre via their entrance (photo 7) and drive up to parking area (photo 8). This overlooks the ski slopes (photo 9) so you will be able to see them coming down the slopes (photo 10) while they can then enjoy the snowboarding course as well (photo 11)
Across the road, stands the RAVENSWOOD HOTEL ideal for a well deserved drink,

So by visiting all these three areas, you can spend a few hours of fresh air enjoyment.
