I have experience of challenges around: accessing toilets and moving around.
I use or have experience of: disabled toilet, powerchair
Overall Rating
Good
Small pub doing (good) food. Friendly and busy. Accessible toilet has grab bars but it's small & an awkward shape. No room to turn an electric wheelchair. They keep the high chairs in there so if you need to do a side transfer (only possible from the left), you'd have to get them to move them first.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
It's a small venue but easy to get in and around. There was enough room to manoeuvre on a busy lunchtime. Could be tricky in the evening if the bar was busy.
Accessible facilities: Single-level venue, Step-free entrance, Seating at regular intervals
Parking & Transport
Good
I travelled to this place by bus
I got the bus to Commercial Street & rolled up Dock Street. Pavements & drop kerbs were good. I didn't have to roll over any cobbles.
Accessible Toilets
Average
The accessible toilet is just the ladies toilet. The door opens outwards and there isn't enough room to manoeuvre round while opening it, so if you're in a wheelchair, you will need someone else to do that. Toilet is equipped with grab bars but it's too small to turn an electric wheelchair, I could only just reach the lock.
Facilities: Accessible toilet
Staff
Excellent
Staff were helpful & friendly. Didn't treat me any differently to any other customer but provided help when needed.
Additional Information
Food is great. Portions are large. I had french toast and it was enough for two.
