Saunderson's

This is an update on a previous review I did on Saunderson’s. They have made a customer service improvement I pointed out after my first review, they have provided a handle, wheeled trolly that enables a disabled or elderly person to select and pack their purchases given they are unable to fit a bag rack to the front display fixture. This has been a huge additional and inclusive support, I must also point out that the shop staff assist in entry and exit, packing assistance and easy mobility round the shop. Like many others, they had to close during the Covid restrictions, but quickly and thoughtfully responded to continued service provision adding to a broad delivery service taking orders by telephone and online. This has been excellent in its management and delivery. As restrictions have modified they have resumed opening hours but maintained the delivery service. This is a family butcher in Leven Street, Edinburgh - near the Kings Theatre and Bruntsfield Links. The shop is on the one level albeit with a small step at the entrance. All their pies, haggis, puddings, sausages, and other preparations are made on the premises. The glass fronted cabinets are well laid out with signage the contents of each tray, they have a freezer section, take orders by phone and e mail and have a delivery service. In addition to meats, poultry and game there are various baking, biscuit, jams and chutneys available, there is an informative website also available. Their produce is all local and there are always more than enough helpful and friendly staff available which denotes the popularity, turnover and sales of the produce on offer.
