Overview

This is a family butcher in Leven Street, Edinburgh - near the Kings Theatre and Bruntsfield Links. The shop is on the one level albeit with a small step at the entrance. All their pies, haggis, puddings, sausages, and other preparations are made on the premises. The glass fronted cabinets are well laid out with signage the contents of each tray, they have a freezer section, take orders by phone and e mail and have a delivery service. In addition to meats, poultry and game there are various baking, biscuit, jams and chutneys available, there is an informative website also available. Their produce is all local and there are always more than enough helpful and friendly staff available which denotes the popularity, turnover and sales of the produce on offer.

One expects a food service environment to be of the highest standards, this is evident not only in the staff uniforms and demeanour but also in the clearly demonstrated good practice of anti contamination, use of gloves, hand washing protocols.
