Sheffield Winter Garden

This stunning glasshouse is located in Sheffield city centre just behind the town hall. It’s free to enter, has step-free access and is absolutely beautiful inside. You could enter from either side of the glasshouse and there were lots of plants, including some huge trees, growing throughout. There were places to sit amongst the foliage and there was also a small café with seating and some small shops with local small businesses selling items. I absolutely loved it here and would highly recommend visiting.

A great place to visit, as a former Sheffield resident maybe I am biased. I was born in Sheffield and lived there until I married. I visited my parents there until they sadly died in 2006 and 2015. I have loved visiting the Winter Gardens during my frequent visits to Sheffield, it is completely accessible and there is always something to see. Recently I went to the Leonardo da Vinci exhibition in the Millennium Galley which is on the same site as the Winter Gardens, it was completely accessible

A very beautiful place to visit in the heart of Sheffield, with no admission fee, excellent disabled access, and events going on throughout the year. There is also the Millennium Gallery museums attached, which are a good place to visit whilst there and host regular exhibitions and events and accommodate everyone.
