PSL Pit Stop
I stopped at Gretna Services on a drive from Glasgow to Durham for a quick loo break and a coffee. The experience was pretty much what you would expect from a chain service station stop.
The main entrance to the services have automatic doors, the Starbucks itself is open-fronted with no doors at all.
Inside, it feels spacious with a good mix of seating options including low soft seats, benches, high stools, and both high and low tables.
What struck me as unusual was the lack of power sockets. Most Starbucks branches seem to have them, but I did not spot any here.
The layout is straightforward: fridges to the right as you walk in, with the counter directly ahead. There is a lowered section at the counter for order collection, which is helpful.
There are no toilets within Starbucks itself but you will find an accessible toilet and a Changing Places toilet within the wider service station..
I did not notice any alternative formats in use which was a bit disappointing. For those who prefer it, ordering ahead through the Starbucks app is an option.
