Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
Signage good and level access with a small lift (one wheelchair and helper) - some seating along the way, plenty poolside. Steps up and down into the actual pool and a hoist with trained staff and high safety priority evident. Plenty of changing rooms and shower, disabled loo with high standards evident. Cafe facilities on site - general site level and accessible. Talked to reception staff about loop , BSL and Changing Places who said available in some parts of the Campus and someone is currently being trained in BSL. Cafe on site and other disabled toilets are available although I didn't check them out
Parking & Transport
Good
Plenty of disabled bays but a long way from the actual pool. Was told I could call and arrange to come in the fire door but not level access and has to unlocked, but very helpful staff. Although a university it's open to the public and charges a reasonable £10 for half hour session with no hurry to get changed, plenty of privacy

No changing places toilet poolside but fully equipped and safe access toilet, spacious and sparkling. See above for more general info

Amy arranged a discount for my carer , reception staff very capable and Miguel at the poolside couldn't have been more helpful and cheerful. Felt very welcome and looked after without being patronising at all. Offered and advised on various floats etc whilst I was in the water. Nothing seemed too much trouble!
Additional Information
Doorways to the hydro pool a little narrow possibly for a larger wheelchair than mine and not easy to get open alone. No pictures or filming permitted so a high level of privacy and only 2/3 at a time in the large pool. Pool has 2 levels of depth and the whole space was pleasantly warm - no shivery changing facilities! Non slip floor everywhere. Basket storage for belongings poolside, a better idea than lockers
