    The 59 Club

    About

    The 59 Club acts as a Warm Centre for older people living in the Belle Isle area, on Monday and Friday mornings from 10am - 12pm. We provide tea and coffee and a bacon sandwich. We also have free Tai Chi classes at St. John & St Barnabas Church on Belle Isle Road, Leeds LS10 3DN on Monday afternoons from 1:30pm to 2:30pm.

    Disabled Access at The 59 Club

    We have a ramped accessible entrance, and a disabled toilet. We have fully accessible transport to bring older people to our venue, and take them home again.

    Fully accessible disabled toilets with step-free access. Doors are wide enough for manual and powered wheelchairs. Easy turn taps etc.

    A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.

    We have a beautiful enclosed outdoor garden for all our older people to enjoy. Disabled people can also take part in our Gardening Group as we have raised flowerbeds for them to work on.

    We are part of the Neighbourhood Networks for Older People in Leeds. We are funded largely by Leeds City Council, and there is a Neighbourhood Network charity in every postcode area of Leeds!
