Accessibility

Entrance ramp. Door operated by push pad. Level Access throughout to access toilets, Cafe/bar, auditorium on the ground floor. Standard lift to access mezzanine floor for some special events.

Accessible Performances

The last Friday of the month we have a relaxed screening at 11am. This is usually a musical and often there is an 'Old Fashioned' Usher with a big torch selling ice-cream!

Toilets

The Accessible toilets in The Birks have step free access and the doors are wide enough to accommodate both manual ans powered wheelchairs. In the cubicle there is a grab rail, emergency cord and 'easy turn' the taps . The toilet has an ergonomic seat which aids sideways transfer and is a contrasting colour to the toilet bowl to help the visually impaired.

On arrival, we aim to provide all customers a sincere verbal welcome, and “if you need anything please ask”.
