The Gallops at Island Riding Centre

The Gallops is set in 40 acres of countryside on the outskirts of Newport. Arranged around a beautiful landscaped pedestrian courtyard, it consists of seven newly constructed 3 and 4 bedroom houses. Each unit can be easily accessed via a level block paved pathway and have low level thresholds for easy access on foot or by wheelchair. Three of the units have downstairs bedrooms with wet rooms with showers and easy access sinks suitable for wheelchair users (additional items such as shower wheelchairs, and stools are available on request), and one of our units has adjustable worktops with sink and hob and each has a private paved patio garden.All seven units have open plan living/dining/kitchens and all have downstairs showers and WCs in addition to the ones upstairs. Parking is immediately adjacent to the units and there is an electric car charging point that is free for guests. The courtyard itself has additional seating overlooking a central garden with water feature and has paved access to a paddock that is home to our resident sheep Lambo and Cloudy and occasionally some of our Shetland ponies. All of the units have inter-connecting smoke and fire detection and there is emergency lighting throughout. Our site has been designed with eco friendly features that include 77 solar panels a rainwater harvesting system and a waste treatment plant that purifies and recycles waste water back into the local water course.
