Food was fine, but it took sooooo long to arrive

Overview
We felt the staff wasn't particularly good at dealing with large crowds (we were 14 in our party). We had to wait for an hour for our food to arrive. The amount of time we had to wait wasn't good; one of our members is diabetic and struggled with her blood sugar levels.
Transport & Parking
There isn't anywhere to park as it's mainly residents' parking. There is a bus stop about 250 yards away (only two different bus routes).
Access
The doorway is fine, wheelchairs can get through it alright.

The staff weren't too helpful in explaining the long wait

The restaurant was very busy as it was over lunchtime on a Sunday when the rugby was on.
