I am a carer or friend of a disabled person. I have experience of challenges around: a hidden impairment, dexterity or coordination, moving around and understanding.

Excellent
Turned up at noon at a busy time, and casually asked the entrance staff of touch rules, and while informed we could not touch exhibits, we were pointed to dedicated touch displays. While going around, another staff member introduced herself and informed us that she had set up items we could touch and smell to improve our experience. This was unprompted and very welcome. They didn't make a huge deal but were one of the most accommodating and welcoming exhibit we've been to. The house is a typical tenement so was narrow with lots of (uneven) stairs however this is unavoidable considering the exhibit. The staff were very friendly and made the experience magical. It was very immersive and would recommend it to anyone!
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
There are quite a lot of stairs, some of which are uneven but there are handrails. There are braille and large print guides available at the entrance. The staff are extremely accomodating however, structural issues would make it difficult if you had a wheelchair.
Parking & Transport
Average
If travelled in on bus, i'm sure it would be ok but we drove in. There was typical city centre parking options (very few) but we managed to find a space less than 5 minutes walk away on the street.

The staff were very friendly, very welcoming and very helpful. They went above and beyond to make the experience immersive and accessible.
