Tower Gateway DLR Station

This station is in a very busy part of London and is also the end of the line so it only has one set of tracks. There are two platforms on either side of the tracks, at busy times, one side is used for people to disembark and the other is for people waiting to board before the train travels back towards Beckton again. At quiet times, like when I visited, you could disembark from either side. The platforms have canopies over them so they are mostly covered. There may be some spots close to the edge of the platform or when transferring between platform and train that may not be protected from bad weather. There are tactile markings at the edge of the platform and there are help points to call for assistance or notify of any emergencies. The DLR trains stop level with the platform with a very minimal gap between the train and the platform. The newer DLR trains provide slightly better access and have better signage to indicate the best boarding places for those in wheelchairs or with prams.
