Trafalgar Square

I was excited to visit Trafalgar Square, as I'd only ever seen it on a Monopoly board until this year, and I wasn't disappointed. I arrived via the path in front of the National Galleries. Straight ahead were several busking zones, large white circles where performers set up. I noted a man writing spontaneous poetry on a typewriter, for which you could pay what you thought it was worth, and a girl with a keyboard singing Dreams by the Cranberries – a band I've only started to appreciate recently. The fountains sparkled in the midday sun, and the sky was as clear as I could hope for. If you're in London, you need to visit.

Trafalgar Square is a major tourist attraction and on many people's must see list when they visit London. A large, attractive public square with a few statues, most notably Nelson's Column and 2 fountains. Step free access and with accessible toilets. Please be aware that sometimes events are hosted in the square, occasionally ticket only, during these times the square can be very busy and noisy.
